About This

  • Create a wonderful back drop in the flower garden with this tall, graceful annual, Delphinium consolida. It is commonly referred to as Larkspur and is a great summer performer! This variety, Blue Spire, has double deep blue colored blooms and lovely lace-like foliage. They give weeks of color as they bloom from the bottom of the spike up.
  • Larkspur grows as a 36 - 48 inch tall annual across the country in USDA zones 3 - 10.
  • Larkspur is often used in fresh floral arrangements, and it dries nicely keeping its color for dried arrangements.
  • Grow in full sun to partial shade and in moist, well-drained soil. Larkspur is usually resistant to deer. They easily reseed themselves. Deadhead spent flowers if reseeding is not desired. Both the Larkspur seed and plant are poisonous.
  • Sowing Rate: 2 - 3 seeds per plant and follow directions in description.
