About This

  • Beautiful - Full color seed packets of Blue Columbine flowers (Aquilegia caerulea). This perennial variety is the state flower of Colorado. It produces Blue flowers with white corollas atop delicate, fern-like foliage. Easy to grow in a variety of conditions but prefers shade in hot climates. Minimum of 300mg per packet (about 350 seeds).
  • Productive - Blue Columbine germinates in 21-28 days when soil temps are 65-70°F. Plant 1/16” deep and space 16” apart in an area with full shade. This variety will grow 1-2’ tall with a spread of 10-12”. Blue Columbine will mature in 50-60 days, plant in USDA zones 5-9.
  • Pollinator Friendly - Hummingbirds love Blue Columbine flowers and will pay your garden many visits. Great way to support your local pollinators. Plant wildflower style or in carefully arranged beds, whatever suits your fancy. Enjoy outdoors in the garden or may be grown indoors if given sufficient light.
