About This

  • 50 Watermelon Beefsteak Tomato Seeds - Delicious, Firm and Juicy Large Tomatoes - Watermelon Beefsteak are large tomatoes that originated in West Virginia in the 1880's. They are large tomatoes that can weight up to 2 pounds.
  • Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date or purchase seedlings from a nursery. Plant seeds 1/4" deep. Transplant seedlings outdoors after the danger of frost has passed and when the soil temperature is at least 60°F (15°C). Space plants about 24-36 inches apart to allow for growth.
  • Keep Moist While Germinating and Keep Moist Outside but don't Overwater. Prune suckers (small shoots that develop in the leaf axils) to encourage better airflow and energy directed towards fruit production.
  • Unique Variety. Provide support with cages or stakes as they grow, as the fruits can be heavy.
