About This
- Anaheim Chili Peppers - Sometimes called a New Mexico Chile, the Anaheim pepper was developed by Emilio Ortega of California in the late 1800s. This reliable chili pepper plant will produce continuously through the growing season. The mild to medium heat peppers are usually harvested green but mature to a rich red color. They have a smoky flavor and are slightly hotter than jalapenos, averaging 500-2500 on the Scoville scale.
- Reliable Pepper Bushes - In USDA Zones 3-12, sow seeds directly outdoors at a depth of 1/4" in a sunny spot once the soil has warmed to 65° to 75° F. Anaheim pepper seeds germinate in 7-14 days. The compact bush will reach 18 to 24 inches across and 2 to 3 feet tall, perfect for containers and hydroponic systems. Matures in 75-90 days. Each seed packet contains approximately 22-26 seeds.
- Sustainable Living - Vegetable gardening is an essential foundation of a more self-sufficient lifestyle. Home-grown fruits and vegetables are generally more flavorful and nutritious than store-bought. These versatile peppers are excellent for canning for long term storage. They are also delicious for roasting, frying, stuffing, and when added to tamales, salsas, and other Latin sauces and dishes.
- The Info You Need to Grow - The seeds are packed in a beautiful paper packet with instructions for successful growing and germination in your home garden. Each package also has instructions for saving seeds after harvest. Getting started is simple for both beginner and experienced gardeners.
- Small American Family-Owned Business - We’re committed to always providing fresh, high-quality seeds for you to plant now or to store for future growing seasons. We pledge to sell only safe, non-hybrid non-GMO heirloom seeds that are always open-pollinated, untreated, and tested to ensure the best germination rates. They will remain viable for years if stored properly in a cool dry location.
